Lead Technician
Responsibilities
Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in drain cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to drain cleaning.
Project Coordination: Coordinate and assign tasks to technicians, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to project timelines. Provide guidance and support to the team members, answering technical questions and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Job Execution: Perform drain cleaning tasks, including inspecting, diagnosing, and clearing clogged drains using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and promote professional development among the team members.
Quality Control: Ensure that all work performed by the team meets quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the effectiveness of drain cleaning efforts, identifying and addressing any deficiencies.
Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for the team and customers. Train team members on safety procedures, equipment usage, and hazard prevention.
Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Address customer concerns, answer questions, and provide guidance on drain cleaning solutions. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery process.
Equipment and Inventory Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of drain cleaning equipment and tools.
Ensure their proper operation, calibration, and availability. Coordinate with the operations team to manage inventory of consumables and replacement parts.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job details, completed tasks,
equipment usage, and customer interactions. Generate reports on project progress, work completed, and any issues or recommendations for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within the drain cleaning team. Collaborate with management to implement changes, share best practices, and enhance overall performance.
Training and Development: Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices related to drain cleaning. Provide training to team members on new techniques, equipment usage, and safety measures. Support their professional growth and development.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with customers, team members, and management.
Coordinate with other departments or contractors involved in projects to ensure smooth collaboration and successful project outcomes.
